Muzaffarpur witnessed a night of chaos as robbers, fleeing after looting Hiralal Saraf and Jewelers, resorted to rapid gunfire on Saturday night. The incident unfolded when the thieves broke the glass showcases, grabbed artificial jewellery, and fled on a motorcycle. Shortly after, panic ensued as the culprits fired five to six rounds in the area, narrowly missing a security guard. While the shop staff's mobile phones were confiscated for investigation, police are diligently scanning CCTV footage from both inside and outside the shop to identify the assailants.

The daring robbery, marked by gunfire, took place at Hiralal Saraf and Jewelers in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The thieves strategically targeted the shop after it closed, indicating a potential recce over several days. In a distressing turn of events, a security guard inside the shop narrowly escaped a bullet. Police have confiscated eight mobile phones from the shop staff, intensifying their interrogation process. The CCTV footage reveals armed miscreants inside the shop and their swift escape on bikes, aiding the ongoing identification process. Notably, Hiralal Saraf and Jewelers, a prominent jewellery store in Bhagwanpur for two decades, has a history of targeted robberies, with a similar incident occurring in 2012 involving the shooting of jeweler Mukesh Kumar.
